A beachside paradise with 40 metres of beach frontage has sold for a staggering $25 million in one of the biggest deals in years.
Ex-AFL star and property developer Tony Smith sold his luxurious Gold Coast home in a record equalling sale on Monday.
The amazing property, at 2 Heron Avenue, has been purchased by a high-profile figure from Toorak in Melbourne looking for the perfect beachfront family home.
The sale was completed in an off-market deal by selling agent Harry Kakavas, after an unconditional contract was signed by the buyer late on Monday evening.
“It’s an amazing beachfront home, it’s like living on a resort,” Mr Kakavas said.
Mr Kakavas, of Prestige Property Sales, sold the land to Tony Smith back in 2013 before Smith went on to complete the now luxury beach mansion in 2016.
“The home is a resort style Hampton home. Because of its massive land content of 2,112sqm it feels like you’re living on the beach with no neighbours,” he said.
Mr Smith, also the owner of the famous Finns Beach Club in Bali, approached Mr Kakavas to help sell the monster home.
“The sale was an off-market sale, it was never advertised, and it took one month to sell,” Mr Kakavas said.
The glorious waterfront home features four ensuited bedrooms, a large swimming pool and a deluxe home cinema.
This is the second huge Gold Coast sale in as many weeks after the near $12 million sale of this beautiful Isle of Capri home last week, further proof that at least Queensland’s top end real estate market is showing signs of immunity against COVID-19.
