Today, we are introducing you to an incredible Brisbane home that is truly something else! Showing Anna around this grand creation, at 59 Molonga Terrace, Graceville, is listing agent Heath Williams of Place New Farm.
This architectural masterpiece seamlessly marries two juxtaposing qualities together – jump on the video tour to find out the story behind this breathtaking ‘industrial luxe’ home!
Black is the dominant colour featured throughout the entire five-bedroom house, but it is perfectly harmonised with the design that allows an abundance of light to flow in.
“You’ve got so much light in this house that you can actually get away with all this dark and the black and the heaviness because it is balanced by all the light that comes through,” explains Heath.
It’s a very industrial themed home but it’s also quite luxurious at the same time, which is an interesting blend that not a lot of people get right.Heath Williams, Place New Farm
Shawn Godwin, of the multi-award-winning Base Architecture, is the mastermind behind this creation, and together with his interior designer wife Natalie, they have designed the perfect and personal dream home for their clients.
“There was a huge collaboration with the architect and the owners, because there’s a lot of the owners’ own personality in this,” explained Heath.
The ground floor features a gym, garage, two bedrooms, as well as a home cinema, the perfect spot for relaxing after a hard day!
The rest of the ‘functional parts’ of the house are positioned on the very top floor, whereas on the street level, you will find the stunning open-plan living, dining and entertaining zone.
This space really showcases the meticulous architectural work, blending indoors and outdoors effortlessly, making it all feel like one, huge heavenly living space.
“You’ve got the seamless integration of the indoor/outdoor, which really blurs the line between where the actual boundary of this interior space finishes,” explains Heath.
Choosing a favourite out of all the amazing features this spectacular property has to offer is by no means an easy task. Heath opts for the one-of-a-kind private dining area – or as he says, ‘the ultimate dinner party room’.
“Is this not the best fine dining room you’ve seen?” he asks Anna, who agrees instantaneously!
And the best thing? This is only the second most elegant room in the house – which leads us upstairs to the jaw-dropping master bedroom.
“This is the definition of luxury,” says Heath.
In addition to just selling luxury homes, Heath hopes to tell the story behind each property, as he beautifully articulates.
“There’s a story to be told about the property so we’ve got to really dig down into what that is because that’s where the value actually lies,” he explains.
“You’re taking something which was a labour of love, it was a creation, and you’re handing that to the next person, so you want them to understand how it was conceived, what the history was behind it.”
