The long-time home of The Veronica’s Lisa Origliasso has sold prior to auction for $815,000.
The Aussie pop icon had owned the property at 22/7 Boyd Street, Bowen Hills, since 2012, but put it on the market in mid-March this year.
Prior to the sale, OzHome News secured a walkthrough of the multi-level property, which boasts three bedrooms and open plan living.
Place Ascot agent John Allen says there were four registered bidders for the auction, but a fantastic offer saw the property sold the evening before the auction was set to take place.
“It was a very good sale, so Lisa was happy,” John says. “It was a couple from Brisbane that bought it, so it’s remaining in local hands.”
From the private entertainer’s courtyard to the upper balconies, the townhouse is designed for relaxed living. A central space seamlessly blends the kitchen with dining and living, with space leftover for a study nook. The first of three verandahs can be found here, letting the nearby river breeze flow throughout the property.
Upstairs, each of the three bedrooms enjoys balcony access, with fantastic views of the city from one side. The master suite enjoys a walk-through robe and private en suite, while the other bedrooms enjoy a luxe spa bath in the shared bathroom!
According to John, good properties such as the former townhouse of The Veronicas are being snapped up by motivated buyers.
“The market’s looking great,” he says. “People are happy to buy homes because they’re buying their future.
“Apartment (prices) in Brisbane are stable because the market was flooded just a few years ago, but good properties are selling.
“Aside from Boyd Street, we sold eight of the ten properties we took to the market on the weekend, and one of them has three offers being negotiated – it goes to show what’s going on out there.”
