The Upper North Shore property market is booming at the moment, as buyers flock to some of Sydney’s spacious suburbs whilst retaining proximity to the CBD.
Ray White Director, David Walker, said: “The Upper North Shore is on fire at the moment!”
“A lot of people have come out of lockdown realising that they want a bit more space and to live in an area that is quite private where they can enjoy their homes a lot more,” he said.
“The Upper North Shore provides the opportunity to get all of that within a short distance to the city.”
Mr Walker negotiated the sale of a brand-new home built by the owner of Homestead Home Builders in Wahroonga, which was snapped up for $5,050,000 on Monday after being on the market for less than a week.
“It’s just a stunning home,” said Mr Walker.
“It was sold after just five days, with 110 groups through in that time.”
The buyers of the five-bedroom property, at 3 Hampden Avenue, had also viewed another luxury home which sold at auction over the weekend.
Nearby 43C Trentino Road went under the hammer for $5,150,000 to buyers from the Eastern Suburbs, with Mr Walker’s Ray White colleague, Adam McKay, echoing his words.
“The market in the Upper North Shore is really great at the moment, particularly for homes like this one – we can’t get enough of them,” said Mr McKay.
The five-bedroom property boasts huge proportions and no expense has been spared in the finish of the home as it had been built as a forever home by the vendor.
“What is rare about the property is that it is on a particularly large block of land which allowed for the house to be on a massive scale,” said Mr McKay.
“The house was built by the previous owner with the intention of living there a long time, so the home had really high-end appliances and finishes throughout.”
A swift auction saw all parties happy with the end result, and, according to Mr McKay, it will be more of the same as buyers queue up to get in on the action on the Upper North Shore.
“There were three interested parties but the auction was all said and done within five minutes. We had a good opening bid and got up to the final sale price in no time at all and the hammer fell,” he said.
“There is a lot of active buyers looking for new style homes in the area,” said Mr McKay.
