Swimming pool sharing platform is making a splash

Fed up queuing to get onto packed beaches on the weekend? Or maybe you just want to go for a dip a little closer to home?

Introducing Swimply, the Airbnb of swimming pools that gives users access to private swimming pools and offers pool owners the chance to make some extra cash on the side.

Swimply founder and CEO Bunim Laskin tells OzHomeNews about the ambitious aquatic project and what the future holds for the swimming pool sharing startup.

Who, what, why?

“Swimply lets Aussies escape locally and enjoy the luxury of a private swimming pool experience without the space, cost or maintenance responsibilities of owning one,” Bunim explains.

And following a successful Australian launch in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland in 2019, Swimply has now expanded its offerings right across the country.

“Now, with hundreds of pools registered across Australia, Swimply is connecting even more people looking for a place to swim, with people who have pools they’d like to share.”

But Swimply isn’t just a great option for people desperate for a swim. Those fortunate enough to own a pool themselves can now securely rent out their swimming pool with just the click of a button.

“Swimply has also proven incredibly popular among those looking to make extra cash this season,” Bunim says, “providing an easy way for Australians to make money off their assets, which is especially welcome after a financially challenging year!”

The swimming pool sharing company originally started out in North America before expanding to our shores. So, what is next for Swimply?

“We’re rapidly gearing up for the next phase of Swimply’s growth,” Bunim says.

“In fact, in the past six weeks we’ve quadrupled the size of our team, and have brought on incredibly talented, seasoned executives who will add even more value to the company and help us excel in what lies ahead.”

The immediate focus, he adds, is on improving the platform to better serve app users.

“We have big plans for updating the technology and overall functionality in order to make the process of using Swimply even more user friendly for hosts and guests.”

So, next time the mercury hits record heights and you fancy cooling off somewhere that isn’t super crowded, you could consider heading to Swimply and enjoy a day by the pool instead.
