A marvellous waterfront home on Sydney’s Northern Beaches has been purchased by a local buyer with the vendors looking to downsize.
The sale price for the architecturally designed four-bedroom home remains under wraps, though it is thought to have sold for within its listed guide price range of $6-7 million.
Luschwitz Real Estate agent, Stephen Sales, told OzHomeNews about the cracking waterside wonder, 28 McCarrs Creek Road.
“It was a life project of the vendors and they really put a lot of themselves into it,” he said.
“The home was finished about eight years ago and it was designed by a Vietnamese architect who was commissioned by the owner to design the property,” explained Mr Sales.
The property features an incredible water panorama and a fantastic boathouse which can double up as a self-contained accommodation.
“The home has what I think are some really stunning views,” Mr Sales said.
“It has a lovely old boat shed which has been there for about 80 years, in fact, the vendors actually lived in there when they were building the home!”
And the direct water access seems to be all the rave at the moment, with the knock-on effects of the pandemic leaving prospective buyers revaluating their priorities, it is the perfect time to buy a boat for many.
“It was purchased by local buyers who want to get a boat and enjoy the water,” said Mr Sale.
“The big comment that kept coming through from buyers was that they hadn’t thought of moving to a waterfront property, but since COVID hit they have more time to do family things together.”
“Buyers’ kids aren’t playing as much sport and they have a lot more time on their hands, so a lot of people are looking to buy a boat instead.
