Happy Sunday guys – we hope everyone has had a fun weekend full of besties and beers!
If you did indeed enjoy a pint or two over the weekend, now is the time to tune into OzHomeNews, because today’s video is a special episode with the beer experts at the one and only Stone & Wood brewery!
This legendary company is one of Australia’s largest independent breweries, and we had the pleasure to speak to the lovely Jess Flynn, who showed us around their Byron Bay headquarters and told us all about beer, brewing and Byron – what a combo!
Specifically designed and built to meet the needs of a modern aesthetic brewery, their Byron Bay venue is carefully thought out, from material choices to the north-to-south aspect.
To ensure the best possible guest experience, they have softened the industrial feel with natural materials such as soft timbers throughout the vast building, and the impressive artwork on the wall is by local artist Paul McNeil.
“These are his incredibly iconic waves and he’s basically done them in our brand and colours – all of our favourite beers!” says Jess.
Jess also showed Anna the actual brew house – check out the video to see where and how the fine art of brewing happens!
Stone & Wood has been crafting the finest beers for more than a decade already, ever since it was founded by three friends, Brad, Ross and Jamie.
“They wanted to do something that was really authentic and also paid homage to the traditional purpose of a brewery,” says Jess.
“And traditionally brew was where the people brought the community together – in good times, in bad times, in celebration or in mourning, we’ve gathered around a drink as community,” she explains.
Anna was also lucky enough to get to try these locally made treats of this beautiful and proudly independent brewery!
