I’ve always wanted to see it’,” he recalls. “Then I went to see the place and because of my achievements in the suburb, they appointed me to sell the property. I said, ‘Wow, this is a dream come true!’ It’s a property I’ve always wanted to sell.”

After less than 24 hours on the market, Johnson says he has already received several calls and emails about property.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if we get 25-30 inspections this Saturday,” he says.

Johnson adds that Daisy Hill is seeing renewed interest, particularly from families, with the southern suburb no longer seen merely as a highway exit between Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

“A lot of people drive up here from the Gold Coast and say Daisy Hill is only an exit,” he says. “But it’s not just an exit – it’s actually a really nice suburb. And because it’s so close to the highway, a lot of buyers are now putting it on their road map. It’s starting to be the suburb to be in in south Brisbane.”

With the majority of Daisy Hill also heavily forested, thanks to the suburb’s Conservation Park and Koala Sanctuary Park, it’s also very tranquil, Johnson explains.

“But it’s still only 25 minutes from the CBD – and so close to the highway, too,” he says.

Last sold in 2003 for $445,000, 16 Ellendale Crescent is now available via private treaty for $900,000 and above.
