A custom-designed Noosa Waters home is attracting plenty of attention, and it’s still weeks out from auction.
The two-storey house at 22 Seahorse Place, Noosa Waters goes up for auction at the end of this month, and Reed & Co agent Darren Neal says it’s tipped to be one of the biggest sales in the suburb.
“As an architectural piece this stands out against everything else,” Darren says. “It’s almost imposing.”
“We had our first open home on Saturday and we had over 100 people through the property, it’s attracting a lot of interest.”
The house certainly makes a statement, and that statement is one of confidence at ease with its surroundings. Flowing back from a 20-metre water frontage with a private jetty, the 710sqm property announces itself with bold angles, seamless joinery and distinctive colours.
The central living space enjoys floor-to-ceiling glazed windows on three sides, completely erasing the distinction between the outside and the interior of the house. Warm-toned timber and dark, polished cabinetry delineate the kitchen and dining space from the living areas. Statement circular lighting above the integrated dining table and stone benchtop reflect off the polished floors, and there’s even a hidden door to a butler’s pantry!

Just around the corner, a whimsical Yellow Goat chandelier illuminates the stairwell void. Leading up to the second floor, four bedrooms and a study can be found on this level. The industrial architecture continues upstairs, with polished concrete floors and minimalist lines providing a backdrop for the canal views.

Taking full advantage of these views is the open-plan master suite. Floor-to-ceiling glazed windows are protected by automated external shutters, while soft S-line curtains ensure a peaceful night’s sleep. A centralised free-standing bathtub marks the edges of the master en-suite – no need for four walls with views like these!
“It’s a house for people who love to entertain, and people who love the water,” Darren says.
“Being on the waterfront with boat access and that 15-metre lap pool.”
“It’s good for kids too because it has such large grass lawns, not many properties like this have those.”
The outdoor area abuts that sparkling pool on one side, while the other looks over the lawns and down to the water. Uniquely, the overhang on the terrace’s roof can even be used as a projector screen!

A masterwork of architectural design, 22 Seahorse Place will go to auction on Saturday, March 27 at 1 pm.
