An amazing Brisbane beachfront residence on Nudgee Beach sold today setting a suburb record.
The property, at 1587 Nudgee Road, was snapped up by a local buyer after being held by its current owner for 30 years.
The spacious four-bedroom Queenslander offers stunning views out towards Moreton Island and is set on an impressive 3.5-acre block.
Ray White listing agent, Nicholas Given said: “It’s such a well known property. Everyone knows the house, it’s pretty special.”
“It’s pretty magnificent, it’s right on the water, and the block is a lot bigger than any other house in Nudgee Beach,” Mr Given said.
The price of the property could not be disclosed however it was confirmed that it smashed the suburb record, and there’s no wondering why!
Despite being just a stone’s throw away from the ocean, Tullamore is under 20 kilometres from Brisbane’s CBD, which is where the successful purchaser was from.
“We had local interest and international interest on it too, but it ended up going to a local Brisbane guy who wanted a bit of a sea change and wanted to be out on Nudgee Beach,” Mr Given said.
The current owner has lived at the wonderful beachside home for a while, and despite being delighted with the sale, it was obviously mixed emotions leaving such a fabulous home.
“She was really happy with the result but she’s been there for 30 years, so it was actually very emotional for her because when you live somewhere for 30 years, it’s a big change.”
