Rare new Ascot build sells for $3M+

One of the few new builds allowed in the historic Brisbane suburb of Ascot has sold for more than $3 million.

The two-level Hamptons-inspired residence was built earlier this year at 23 Pringle Street, and NGU Real Estate agent Leo Liu says the build was top quality.

“Ascot is an old suburb with a lot of pre-war houses that can’t be demolished, so this was one of the very blocks that could be completely rebuilt,” he explains. “So the entire home is brand new with everything you could possibly want.

“It caters for a luxury lifestyle in a beautiful location.”

A massive entryway showcases that luxury lifestyle straight away. On the left, a stone-lined, glass-fronted professional wine room, illuminated by an antique cast iron chandelier, creates a breathtaking first impression.

A separate guest suite can be found on the right, and further down a professionally sound-proofed home theatre!

The rest of the ground floor is open plan, connected to an alfresco entertaining pavilion by glass sliding doors. Every element of the property has been designed for understated refinement, from the decorative cornices to the rich European oak herringbone flooring. There’s even a fireplace in the living room, set into a stone feature wall like that found in the wine cellar.

Tucked away behind the lounge, the opulent kitchen utilises state-of-the-art technology in its design and fit-out. An island counter doubles as a breakfast bar, while a charming tiled splashback adds an old-school charm to the room.

For a more relaxed style of cooking, head out back to the barbecue. The adjacent pool comes with something not often seen in a suburban home – a pool house with its own private bathroom and sauna – and there’s room for a dozen on the covered terrace, or even more if you spread out onto the lawn!

Upstairs each of the bedrooms comes with its own built-in wardrobe, with the largest reserved for the designer master bedroom. There’s space set aside for a home office or library, as well as a private family retreat with a front of house balcony!

“This property attracted some of the biggest interest I’ve ever seen online, and we had 160 groups come through for inspection,” Leo says. “It could only go to one buyer though, and it was a local family who bought it.

“They’ve recently sold and are moving to the area, and they love it.”
