Ozhomenews was eager to learn what being a green building really means.
With the help of Brett Jackson at CBRE we got to the bottom of this.
What is a 6 Star Green Star design rating?
“It certifies world-leading innovation and sustainability in a development’s design by focusing on a company’s opportunity to deliver shared value, through high-quality developments that deliver positive environmental and social outcomes, alongside financial value,” Mr Jackson said.
How does one get Green Star accreditation?
“A project receives a Green Star rating by being certified by GBCA based on its outstanding sustainability outcomes across nine holistic impact categories, including management, indoor environment quality, energy, transport, water, materials, land use and ecology, emissions and innovation,” Mr Jackson said.
What does this building mean for sustainable development in Australia?
It helps set a new standard for Australian developments as a result of Australian property companies building a greener future and reaping the rewards of lower energy and water costs,” Mr Jackson said.
