When you can’t afford to buy a multi-million dollar property, you should look into vacationing in one – and this holiday home in Noosa is extraordinary.

Dark and effortlessly glamorous, it needs to be on your bucket list.

Welcome to the Shackpalace, a two-bedroom Airbnb designed by renowned architect Frank Macchia.

It’s entirely black, modern and minimalistic, and only a three-minute walk to Noosa Junction.

Head through raw timber front gates and through the front door and you enter an external deck leading to three separate areas; living, sleeping and bathing.

Even though it’s indoors, the architecture highlights the outdoors, with open-air spaces and greenery throughout connecting you back to nature.

As you walk around Frank’s design touches the raw, adventurous part of your soul. Entering each zone of the Shack literally lifts or drops you to a new level, a reminder that you’re in new terrain now.

The living room’s natural materials create an air of refined moodiness, while the perfectly positioned unique decor accentuates the imperfections of the raw materials.

Who needs a TV when you have good books, a record player, and stunning views – just play some music and relish the scenery.

If you love cooking with fresh herbs, the kitchen has its own stash, with even more little touches. Hemp snacks and coffee are available, or take part in a tea ceremony of your own – all the items are on hand. Dining is just as pleasurable, with lovely, handcrafted crockery and cutlery to use and enjoy.

Enjoy uninterrupted dreams in the upstairs bedroom. No windows, no outside noise or distractions, just a comfy king size bed with organic cotton and linen sheets.

After such a restful night you’ll want to start the day mindfully, and what can be more rewarding than a hot shower with views over Noosa National Park?

The host even spoils you with another bathing area downstairs in the guest suite. An outdoor bathtub looks out over those incredible views, and organic towels and artisan products provide a touch of luxury.

The Shackpalace is open, yet very private, and it’s easy to get comfortable. It’s perfect for a romantic getaway or a health retreat.
