A new premium retail and dining precinct in Melbourne’s CBD is set to fully open this week, with a host of luxury brands and eateries ready to open their doors to the public.
The high-end retail and dining destination is part of the 80 Collins Street development, which includes a new 255-room boutique hotel, a new 38-storey premium office tower, as well as an existing 47-storey A-grade office tower.
ASX-listed property giants Dexus are behind the development at the ‘Paris end’ of Collins Street, which is wonderfully connected through the laneways on Collins, Exhibition and Little Collins Streets, linking the new hotel to both office towers.
Dexus Head of Retail Leasing, Eddie Giraldo said: “We are excited to launch 80 Collins as a retail and dining destination. The brands, minds, and designs that have come together to make this new precinct a reality are second to none.”
Danish designers Georg Jensen are amongst the flagship brands welcoming customers through their doors, with other stores opening including Melbourne-based designers Şener Besim and luxury footwear label FEIT.
A selection of exquisite cafes including People’s Coffee, Maverick and Upstate Coffee, will be supplying top-notch coffee for shoppers needing a caffeine fix.
And if shopping gets a bit much, why not pop in to Bowls Baby for a spot of lunch or head to Nick and Nora’s for a cheeky arvo cocktail.
Later in 2020 the new 80 Collins precinct will welcome luxury maisons Mulberry and Saint Laurent along with more exceptional dining venues.
Dexus bought the site at 80 Collins Street last year in a deal believed to be worth $1.3 billion.
