MasterChef star nets $3m after luxury renovation

MasterChef finalist Sandra Moreno can have her cakes and eat them now she’s sold her fantastic Ashgrove home for $3 million.
The popular 2009 TV show finalist bought what she describes as a “very small bungalow” back in 2007 for $1.3m. Embarking on an extravagant renovation, she transformed the place, extending to provide a whopping 920sqm of luxurious living space, including the oh-so-important entertainer’s kitchen.

Though she’s sad to be leaving the address she’s worked so hard to perfect, Sandra wishes only the best for the new owners, hoping they’re able to make the most of the “masterpiece”!
“The sale exceeded all my expectations,” Sandra confessed, offering glowing praise for NGU selling agent Leo Liu. “Leo went above and beyond to help me – I felt like he was holding my hand from the very beginning til the end!”

Set in 1128sqm of grounds, the six-bed five-bath smart home is a showcase of excellent finishes and fine materials, with not one but two marble island benches marking the perfectly equipped kitchen space (plus fully equipped scullery) – not a surprising inclusion for such an accomplished chef!
The luxury doesn’t end in the kitchen, of course. A 15-foot indoor swimming pool adorned with a fabulous glass mural of Sydney is perhaps the most luxurious of the leisure spaces, but a billiards room with bar, a plush media room, a gym, hot tub, ice bath and sauna round up those features nicely.

Flooded with natural light – thanks to a spectacular mezzanine with void and copious high and cathedral windows – the dwelling’s monochrome palette is a fitting choice for such French-style elegance, and it’s pretty certain the new owners will be more than happy with their $3m masterpiece.
