A stunning Sydney trophy home went under the hammer over the weekend for $6,195,000 setting a new street record in the process.
The remarkable five-bedroom home in Cremorne had a guide price of $5,800,000, leaving the vendors understandably gobsmacked by the cracking sale result.
Positioned to capture the beautiful outlook across Willoughby Bay, 35 Ryries Parade embodies what it’s all about to live on Sydney’s Lower North Shore.
DiJones’ Piers Van Hamburg spoke to OzHomeNews about the incredible property and explained why four buyers battled it out at Saturday’s auction.
“I think people really liked the level of finishes,” he explains. “It’s been really nicely done and it has big high ceilings in all the living areas.”
Built in 2006, the three-level home features a good size pool enveloped by a sun-drenched garden and a parents’ retreat that will have the new owners feeling a million miles from the hustle and bustle of city life.
“There’s lots of space, it’s very light and bright with heaps of sun coming through the home” Mr Van Hamburg explains.
The highest bid went to a buyer from the nearby suburb of Crows Nest, who will now lap up the luxury Cremorne property.
The record sale is the latest indication that Sydney’s prestige market is not going to slow down any time soon.
“We were quoting a guide of $5.8 million so the vendors are really happy,” Mr Van Hamburg says.
“The market is really strong at the moment, it has been really, really good.
