A fabulous luxury home on Sydney’s Upper North Shore has been purchased prior to auction for nearly $300,000 over its guide price.
The six-bedroom property, at 92 Braeside Street, was purchased by a buyer from the Hills Shire for $6,275,000 with the vendors opting to downsize.
Ray White’s David Walker led a successful sales campaign which saw a host of buyers show their hand before the home transacted earlier this week.
“It was meant to be going to auction this Saturday, but we ended up having two buyers back for second inspections on Monday and by Tuesday we wrapped it up with one of them,” he said.
“The price guide during the campaign was $6,000,000 so we ended up getting nearly $300,000 over the top of the price guide, everyone is stoked,” said Mr Walker.
Buyers fell in love with the home’s spacious layout and its indulgent features and Mr Walker said that more and more people are looking to secure lifestyle properties that come with all the extras.
“It’s in a great location and buyers loved the lifestyle aspect of the home, the tennis court, gym, swimming pool and it is north-facing so it gets light all day,” he said.
“It has oversized rooms and a beautifully appointed kitchen with bifold doors that open out onto the entertaining space.”
“With everything that has happened this year there has been a big push to purchase lifestyle properties in our area.
“People are thinking that if they have to be locked down again, then they want to be in their own little bunker, and this property ticked every single box for people.”
