A striking Sydney home has been sold for just under $3 million, two days before it was scheduled to go under the hammer.
The luxurious five-bedroom home, at 8 Addington Avenue, fetched a price of $150,000 over its $2.8m price guide, leaving all parties delighted.
“Both the purchaser and the owner are really happy,” told Phillip Allison of Belle Property Ryde.
“We had two buyers that were really interested, but the eventual purchasers were local Chinese buyers who I’ve been working with for a long time,” he said.
This sale is another recent multimillion-dollar sale for New South Wales, further indicating the strength of the high-end real estate market, as Mr Allison explained, adding that, in times like these, long-lasting relationships are more valuable than ever.
“These sort of products are really strong – we had 45 groups come through this property on the first open home we held,” told Mr Allison.
“The eventual purchaser was actually working with a buyer’s agent who we’ve had a good relationship with for the last 4-5 years,” he explained.
“It shows good relationships are really important,” he said
“This is the third transaction with that agent that we’ve done here in Ryde in the last 12 months.”
“Also, we have Attlee in my team, who speaks Mandarin and Cantonese,” Mr Allison said.
“A lot of the buyers at this end of the market are overseas or some of their families are overseas, and he’s been working with those buyers for a long time now.”
Boasting high-quality finishes and beautiful details throughout, this tremendous two-level home is crafted by the owner himself.
“The owner is a luxury developer, so he built it himself. The quality is very high!” explained Mr Allison.
“There’s a massive void when you first walk in, a floating staircase is in front of you – and at the back they’ve got a water feature that cuts in through the middle of the living and the dining areas,” said Mr Allison.
