Interest Growing as Melbourne Medical Centre Nears Completion

Tenant interest is growing ahead of the completion of a state-of-the-art Melbourne medical hub.
With a completion date set for May 2021, Knox Health, at 538 Mountain Highway, Bayswater, is sounding out potential healthcare tenants looking to take advantage of the property’s prime location.
CBRE Healthcare and Social Infrastructure team have been tasked with managing the leasing campaign for the healthcare centre, developed by Dr Badov, whose healthcare company, Direct Endoscopy Day Hospitals, have been acquired as an anchor tenant.
CBRE Director, Sandro Peluso, said that the medical centre’s sought-after location and strong anchor tenant would drive interest amongst healthcare services.
“The lease campaign provides an opportunity to locate in one of the most substantial and trafficked healthcare hubs in Melbourne’s eastern corridor,” he said.

There is significant tenant interest in the healthcare sector, with occupiers that provide vital ‘out-of-hospital’ services keen to secure long-term tenancies.
In total, 4,500 sqm of space is currently being offered at the complex, with medical, dental, pathology, pharmacy and radiology services all expected to be interested in acquiring a tenancy at the East Melbourne site.
“The new complex is located less than three minutes’ drive from Knox Private Hospital, one the largest private hospitals in Australia, and is close to all forms of public transport and a variety of tenant amenity, including the Westfield Knox shopping centre,” said Mr Peluso.
Also featuring on-site car parking accommodation, the total value of Knox Health upon completion is expected to exceed $35 million, and Dr Badov believes that medical hubs are the future of healthcare.
Medical centres are setting the standards for care and Knox Health will provide one-stop access to comprehensive medical services, easy access to GP and specialists, day surgery and ample parking.
