For those yearning for travel to faraway lands, this classical European-inspired mansion in WA’s Nedlands was the perfect answer, one of many reasons it was snapped up quickly after a raft of interest from prospective buyers.
The grand six-bedroom dwelling was sold for $2,300,000 by Duet Property’s Michelle Kerr, who explains interest was very high from the off and she’d been inundated with responses.
“I think it really touched a nerve with people who are desperate to get away to Europe,” she says. “People who appreciate European design absolutely loved it!
“Honestly, when you’re inside, you’d forgive yourself for thinking you were inside a beautiful Airbnb in Italy or France.”
The owners were really sad to leave, Michelle says, but adds: “Perth’s a really transitional city – people often leave with short notice. They so enjoyed it – it’s a unique home, and they know they won’t be able to repeat it in the future.”
The quick sale left many gutted home-hunters in its wake. “I’m still fielding interest from people asking if there’s any chance it’ll come back on the market!” Michelle says.
Six classically styled bedrooms offer plenty of room for guests to stay over, which is a good job, as the entertaining spaces in the home are awe-inspiring – including a sophisticated al fresco patio that wouldn’t look out of place in the most prestigious Mediterranean chateau.
The kitchen is the perfect size to cater for all those guests, and there are cute little nooks and crannies dotted around, offering plenty of opportunity for alone time, surrounded by tasteful wrought iron.
Sold for $2,150,000 back in 2019, the lucky new owners have surely bagged themselves a bit of a bargain out West, which we’re sure they’ll indulge appropriately, sweeping down the pebble drive to sit on their thrones as the new Nedlands royalty of their 979sqm estate.
