Coolest pools of the week

Summer’s not over yet, and to prove it we’re listing five of the best pools we’ve seen this week. They’ve been selected from properties we’ve highlighted over the last seven days, with only the cream of the crop making the pick.

Let’s get started!

38 Seashell Avenue, Mermaid Beach, Qld 4218

This 748sqm Hamptons-style estate boasts a tiled resort-style, solar-heated pool and spa surrounded by lush, tropical gardens.

The blue and white exterior provides a wonderful backdrop to the water and inside, folding concertina doors stack away to create immediate access to multiple, covered alfresco areas.

Any pool parties hosted here will be a hit!

With not one, but two, pools in this six-level Melbourne estate, you’ll definitely make a splash.

Staggered stone and mirror glass frame a pool with one of the largest outdoor televisions you’ve ever seen – and it’s easily viewable from a deckchair or the pool itself.

The second pool is secreted away in the basement, in a room that feels like an Oriental art gallery. Spectacular colour-change lights help set the right mood as incredible mosaic work teleports you to China’s terracotta warriors.

32 Becker Place, Mt Ommaney, Qld 4074

Located on one of the best streets in the Brisbane suburb of Mount Ommaney, the 70,000 litre infinity pool at the Razor House has incredible views to match.

Spread across a sprawling 2,858sqm plot of land, extensive landscaping close to the building sees flat lawns rolling down to mature bushland and Brisbane River.

Just $6.3 million will get you all of this jaw-dropping beauty along with stunning views from every level of the house of the river, distant woods and farmland.

41C New South Head Road, Vaucluse, NSW 2030

This harbourside Sydney home enjoys an enviable location and plenty of features.

The heated pool comes complete with a water feature and backs onto a wonderful alfresco area with top of the range appliances.

It’s no wonder the four-bedroom family home with views across Sydney Harbour sold at auction over the weekend for $6.355, million, with potential buyers loving the iconic harbour backdrop.

Ray White Double Bay

181-199 Matthews Road, Leopold, VIC 3224

It’s not technically a house, but it’s on the market with price expectations of about $18 million.

Campbell Point House is a boutique Victorian hotel with eight suites, an infinity-edge swimming pool, and a day spa – and that’s just a start.

With 250 metres of water frontage, and proximity to Melbourne city and the Great Ocean Road, the 37 acres of luxurious land is attracting attention not just from developers, but also from individuals considering transforming it back into a palatial home.

After all, with a pool like that, who wants to share?
