An amazing home that makes up part of an exclusive clifftop estate has been sold for $6.6 million on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
The sale of the five-bedroom property, at 20 Molong Street, is the third-largest ever for the suburb of North Curl Curl, with all parties overjoyed with the result.
James Eyden, of Clarke & Humel Property, who negotiated the sale of the hilltop haven, said: “We took some buyers through on the Saturday of the long weekend and we negotiated it over the end of last week.”
“Both the vendor and purchaser were left delighted with the result because they wanted a private sale, which is what happened,” he said.
The property is part of the ‘Windy Dropdown Estate’ – a gated community with just eight other homes, and neighbours Jennifer Hawkins old home.
“People love it up there because it has privacy and security but it also captures the beautiful views,” explained Mr Eyden.
“There are a myriad of CEO’s and vice presidents of big companies who sort of lock themselves away,” he said.
But it isn’t just the location of the home that caught buyers’ attention, with the functionality and the knowledge that the view cannot be built out putting minds at ease as Mr Eyden explained.
“For quite a large home it is reasonably low maintenance, so it’s not an expansive, sprawling house with massive lawns,” he said.
“It also has a beautiful north easterly aspect which a lot of people enjoy, and the houses on the edge of the cliff have covenants on them so you can feel safe that you’re never going to lose your view.”
