A genuinely one-of-a-kind home on Sydney’s Upper North Shore sold for a suburb record high for properties listed this year.
The property, split over three separate dwellings, at 22 Woodbury Road in St Ives, was sold for an impressive $3.85 million after being on the market for a couple of months.
Director of Marshall. Chan. Yahl., James Yahl, described the magnificent property, and what made it such an attractive proposition for buyers.
“It’s quite a unique property in what it offers in that it has three separate dwellings. It’s a lovely architecturally designed home, but also has modern features, with the coach house just built in 2017,” Mr Yahl said.
The vendors are moving on after enjoying their family home for over 30 years.
“It was a multi-generational family that was living there and they lived across the three separate areas. They’re downsizing having been there for 34 years,” said Mr Yahl.
After being on the market during the tricky COVID period, the seven-bedroom property, set on 2,839 sqm, successfully sold on Wednesday.
“It’s very unique, it wasn’t a run of the mill St Ives property, it’s something a bit different and required a different marketing strategy and it found the right buyer,” said Mr Yahl.
The home’s spacious feel and superb location, in proximity to St Ives North Public School, also caught the eye for the eventual buyer.
“The purchasers bought it because they’ve got children themselves and they liked the house, the location and the vast space that the property offered,” explained Mr Yahl.
