A massive $12,450,000 sale has just set a new suburb record for the prestigious pocket of Cronin Island in Surfers Paradise, breaking the previous record of $11 million.
The incredible seven-bedroom mansion, at 15 Southern Cross Drive, was sold to a Sydney-based Chinese buyer, who can now enjoy a riverfront home of the utmost luxury.
The seller of the residence was EMACS Electrical principal Chris Gavan, who scored a price of more than double what he originally paid for the property back in 2012, when he purchased it for $6.1 million.
The sale was carried out by Michael Kollosche, a huge name in the Gold Coast real estate industry, in cooperation with his colleague Ryan Ward who has also made name with numerous multimillion-dollar sales in the area.
On his Facebook post, Michael Kollosche said he was pleased about the sale and that it was ‘a great result’ for their sellers.
“The sale reaffirms the confidence in luxury homes on the Gold Coast,” he wrote.
Other features of the exclusive waterfront mansion, positioned on the only street of the extremely coveted Cronin Island, include a resort-style pool, 2,000-bottle wine cellar and a 12-car garage.
Previously, the property was home to former Billabong CEO Matthew Perrin.
